Ampass is a village in the district of Innsbruck in the Tyrol in Austria. Ampass lies on an old salt road from Hall in Tirol to Matrei east of Innsbruck on the southern shore of the Inn river. Ampass was founded in 1145 but people lived there much earlier.
In the last years Ampass grew bigger in agriculture and residential communities.
