Amoroso, released in 1976, is an album that uses an orchestral arrangement to produce the Brazilian sound of bossa nova. The album features Joao Gilberto, who with his vocal and guitar work is backed by a large, but not overpowering arraignment. The eight tracks, in order include; ‘S Wonderful, Estaté , Tin Tin Por Tin Tin, Besame Mucho, Wave, Caminhos Cruzados, Triste, and Zingaro. The latter four songs were actually written and composed by fellow bossa nova legend Antonio Carlos Jobim and adapted by Gilberto in this piece, (the string section was arranged by Claus Ogerman).
