Amora is a Portuguese parish, located in the city of Seixal. It had a 2001 population of 50,991inhabitants and a total area of 27.31 km², its density was 1,867.1/km². Its name of inhabitants are Amorense.

Amora is situated by the banks of Rio Judeu, a tributary of the Tejo, the locality is always famous for its sea industry notably navy repairs and construction, fishing and other industries.

The parish was first mentioned in 1384 in the chronicle of John I, a work of Fernão Lopes. The date for that period apparently in the first nuclewus population of the area, situated in Cheira Ventos in the present day area of Talaminho.
