Helpme: Wikiquote

It's there, I keep trying to make it work, but it won't. Right now it is at this:

Template:ThomastheTankEngine

Hi AMK152,

The template you created is quite sound, but I have to say that it isn't quite appropriate for us to use. In any case, Template:Thomas has been worked on over some time, and is more comprehensive than the template you have created.

I will likely nominate Template:ThomastheTankEngine for deletion quite soon, unless you can give me a reason not to.

True. But unfortunately, the one you created is less useful than Template:Thomas, for the simple reason that the information is much more clearly organised. WP:THOMAS have decided to use Template:Thomas rather than Template:ThomastheTankEngine, and as such this renders the latter completely obsolete. SpongeBob episode template

Hi there. I'm posting this regarding the SpongeBob WikiProject. In the episode template I would like to say that the episode list is a good choice, however there is a little bit of concern. Coz if you see an episode article the list makes some of the shorter episode articles quite long. Like I made a suggestion before, I'll say it again: Try having a look at The Simpsons for example. License tagging for Image:SBReefBlowerTitleEp1B.JPG

Year navigation box

Hi AMK152, I've done a lot of work in the Years by film lately, within other fixing everywhere the year box to look the same through the years. Now you substituted another navigation box from the 1980s on. Do you plan to do the same all the way to the first years? It's always good to discuss such changes with Project Films members before undertaking them. Please, post your answer to Talk:Lists of films or to Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Films. Thanks. One more note: I asked for Rje's opinion lately, who had also contributed, making tables for data in the later Years in film. The answer I got is here*. Since I have contributed and keep a maintaining care for the list by years, it would be good to come to some consensus, so no editing time and enthusiasm is wasted. Hi again, one thing that is missing now from the new years navigation, is a link to Years in film, which is necessary for navigating in films. Is there a way we can add it (I am not good in handling templates)? It could replace the centuries, since they are not all that necessary here. Hoverfish 08:44, 1 November 2006 (UTC)

Ah, it sounds like you already know how to use Wikipedia:templates. It's a mystery to most beginners, because the word "template" is nowhere to be found in template wikitagging, just those cute curly brackets. The easiest way to learn how to make and apply templates is to copy and modify existing templates. Find templates that do for other articles what you want to do with the articles you are working on, and clone them. Touch them up so that they make sense in their new home(s), and viola! For some really sophisticated templates, check out the ones that support the Main Page, and the Wikipedia:Tip of the day (TOTD) project (they are displayed at the top and bottom of that page). TOTD's randomizing "Tip of the moment" template shows a new tip every time you enter or refresh the page upon which it is displayed. For some interesting header templates, check out the help desk pages (WP:HD and WP:RD); and for some cool tables of contents, check out the pages on Template:Contents pages (header bar), which itself is a template. And of course see the catalog of templates at Wikipedia:Navigational templates. I hope you find the templates which suit your purpose If you still have trouble finding templates to do exactly what you want, please let me know, and we'll escalate to the next level of endeavor. Welcome to Esperanza!

Welcome, AMK152, to Esperanza! As you might know, all the Esperanzians share one important goal: the success of this encyclopedia. Within that, we then attempt to strengthen the community bonds, and be the "approachable" side of the project. All of our ideals are held in the Charter, the governing document of the association.

Now that you are a member you should read the guide to what to do now or you may be interested in some of our programs. A quite important program is Stressbusters, which seeks to support editors who have encountered any stress from their Wikipedia events, and are seeking to leave the project. So far, Esperanza can be credited with the support and retention of several users. We will send you newsletters to keep you up to date. Also, we have a calendar of special events, member birthdays, and other holidays that you can add to and follow.

In addition to these projects, several more missions of Esperanza are in development, and are currently being created at Esperanza/Proposals.

If you have any other questions, concerns, comments, or general ideas, Esperanzian or otherwise, know that you can always contact our administrator general Natalya by email or talk page. Consider introducing yourself at the Esperanza talk page! Virtual classroom update

I've written a translation of Interiot's "geekspeak" post. It took me hours to figure out what he was talking about. Some pretty cool tricks, now described in easy to follow steps. I've also thrown in some of my own tricks, have updated my notes on the interface I use, and have answered students questions in the questions and comments section at the bottom of the page. The WikiProject SpongeBob SquarePants newsletter is a monthly newsletter posted on the first of the month. AMK152 writes and publish it. If you have any questions or comments please post them here or on AMK152's talk page. In addition, the project needs at least one more newsletter writer. Progress Report: All infoboxes have been completed on the season one and two articles. Ghost Host, That's No Lady, Driven to Tears, Rule of Dumb, Born to Be Wild, Best Frenemies, The Pink Purlonier, and Squidwood need title cards.

Games: The SpongeBob game articles need to be expanded, especially the stubs. See here: Template:SpongeBob Games.
SpongeBob Books - On the List of SpongeBob SquarePants Media, books needed to be listed and a description of the book.
Featured and Good Articles - If you believe it's good enough, feel free to nominate it. Some of these articles are just great but aren't getting nominated. Adding content to let it reach the status is just as important.
