[edit] Hello about The Current Confusion

So I thought it was this I.P I'm sorry once again User:Vintagekits.
I wanted to know if the removal of Ricky Hatton's name was okay of his Famous Friends list, Since he is amir's friend(trust me). Take Care.
Good Day to all!! Lil'GKhan

I dont think removing Ricky Hatton's name as one of his friends is the right move, hatton has supported khan a long way upto his fights, in the dressing rooms he is shown talking to khan. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.102.16.51 (talk) 15:28, 18 February 2008 (UTC)

The current edit war

I strongly suggest that if folks don't want this page protected and possible, short-term blocks handed out, that any significant changes be discussed here and consensus gotten before the changes are made. SirFozzie (talk) 19:41, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
Sorry I had a misunderstanding I thought it was that I.P/User who vandalised the articles and later I realised thatUser:Vintagekits edits made the article look alot better than before.Lil'GKhan (talk) 23:37, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

END OF WAR Please I would like this site to be Peaceful, Thanx.

Someone sneaked in this shenanigan into the Amir Khan professional section, as of 3:15 or so CST (US):

"On April 5th 2008, Khan beat Kristjansen in the 7th round of a WBO World Lightweight. There is some speculation as to whether Khan cheated, after he sucker punched his opponent whilst he was on the floor. Khan then proceeded to remove his shorts and stroke his dick until he attained a hardon and ejaculated on his eyebrows."

It's a semi-protected page, & apparently only allows registered users to edit it.

[edit] April 2007

The Sugar Ray Leonard quote is hyperbole from an observer who has seen little of Khan. Leonard as a pundit is not held in the same regard as he was as a fighter, and he has a reputation for saying the politically correct thing and telling people what they want to hear Benbrindon 05:19, 15 April 2007 (UTC)

Can someone please change Amir Khans ranking, he is now ranked 11 in the WBO, the reference is here: http://www.frankwarren.tv/drill/News/Articles/2007/04/18/text-khan-is-wbo-no-11.html

[edit] Did It!

Changed the rankin' and i have put him on watchlist Lil'Khan

[edit] Problem sentence

I've changed "He has won his first twelve professional fights, drawing good reviews in the tabloid press however boxing fans have criticised Khan for repeatedly fighting journeymen from lower weight divisions many with as few as zero knockouts." to "He has won his first twelve professional fights, drawing good reviews in the press".

Please don't put stuff like "boxing fans have criticised ..." into articles without linking to a newspaper article (or some other "Wikipedia:Reliable Source") which proves that boxing fans have indeed done that. See Wikipedia:Biographies of living people. Thanks, CWC 14:48, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

I think it shouldn't be here at all with proof or without because it really ruins Amir's image and to say i think it's his choice to pick his opponents not ours thank youLil'Khan 16:29, 15 July 2007 (UTC)

I apologise, i changed this article before reading the discussion. I think that the criticism noted is an honest one but it also reflects Khans strength of character as it shows his reaction to the criticism and it does mention that Frank Warren in particular controls who Khan fights. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Weightchamp (talkcontribs) 08:51, 11 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Minor Edits

I just replaced the chunk of writing that was written next to the willie limond fight about how the match went, and i moved it under neath the professional section as that is the place where it should be kept, the bottom section just should show his fights.

[edit] Driving conviction

"Khan is due to appear at Rochdale Magistrates Court on 26th October 2007 to face charges of driving in excess of 70 mph, failing to produce his driving license and failing to produce proof of insurance Result: The court took his licence away for the next 6 months and he has to pay 1000 pounds." ByLil'Khan
I think two cases are being confused here. He got a six month disqualification and £1000 fine for careless driving in Bolton when he hit a pedestrian whilst overtaking cars stationary at traffic light in the wrong lane at approximately 47 mph. He was due to appear in court also last week accused of doing 140+ mph on the M62 but failed to appear, he also did not produce his documents. He has been ordered to appear next week and an arrest warrant will be issued if he is not court. [1] [2]
The section needs rewriting --jmb 16:02, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
The slightly modified version is still incorrect. He did not appear in court in Rochdale and will be arrested if he does not appear this coming week. The disqualification and fine if for a different offence. --jmb 21:22, 27 October 2007 (UTC)

[edit] boxing trunks

anyone noticed that his colours on his boxing shorts represent england in white and red, and his pakistani hertage in green and white. think there should be a sentence or two describing him as being proud of his british and pakistani values. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.142.218.14 (talk) 16:31, 7 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Weasel words?

"Khan has taken advantage of the pit of uselessness that is British lightweight boxing"

That shouldn't be in there surely? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.124.16.33 (talk) 02:32, 9 December 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Amir's original descent

A user has wrongfully changed the info as to Amir's parental origin. There are referenced sources for his clan's residence and his ancestral lineal descent to the Janjua (fully referenced also in his book and a worldwide distributed mens magazine respectfully) as well as an online boxing review. Please can it be ensured that no politically motivated changes occur, as he is NOT Kashmiri or Indian, but a British Muslim of Pakistani Janjua Rajput descent who's parents famously hail from Rawalpindi.

Many thanks.--Raja (talk) 14:10, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

You guys know what I'm sick and tired of Raja having to tell all these people He is NOT Kashmiri or Indian but a Janjua I think the message comes LOUD and CLEAR. --~*~Lil’GKhanster~*~ (talk) 22:24, 21 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] IBF Title Hoax

Khan never fought for the IBF title, this was a PR stunt. This can be checked with Lyndsay Tucker head of the IBF championship committee or via boxrec.com 84.12.21.161 (talk) 18:37, 26 February 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Professional fights table

It says he has 3 wins and 14 losses? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.32.64.145 (talk) 15:30, 8 April 2008 (UTC)
