Amit Sana is an Indian singer. He is from Bhilai, a city in Chhattisgarh state. He was the runner-up in the first Indian Idol, a singing competition held in India. Now, he lives in Mumbai. He had sung along with Abhijeet Sawant, who was the winner of the indian idol, in abhijeet's first album Aapka Abhijeet Sawant. He has made some of his own albums like Chal diye, Yaadein. Amit Sana was a classical singer previously, but after coming into Indian Idol, he started singing modern bollywood songs more frequently.
In fact, before participating in the Indian Idol, he had completed high level classical singing classes a few years back and was studying as an engineering student in information technology and management. He is also interested in dancing and is keen to perform on stage shows. Amit Sana is a big fan of classical singer Ustad Rashid Khan.
Amit participated in the reality show Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar [1] on Star Plus. His performances did not please the judges - Vishal-Shekhar and Farah Khan. He seemed to have lost a lot of his singing prowers and was eliminated from the contest.
