Amin ud-din Ahmad Khan

Amin ud-din Ahmad Khan (1911 1983) was the last Nawab of princely state of Loharu, ruling from 1926 to 1947. He was the governor of Himachal Pradesh (1977-1981) and Punjab. (1981-1982). Before his governorships he was a member of the Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan state. He was a leader of Indian National Congress party.
He briefly served the Indian army and saw action during the liberation of Portuguese India in 1961 .
He donated the famous and valuable library collection of his family to the Raza Library in Rampur.
