- No, it was not copied directly. It it were, I would have used quotation marks and noted the page numbers. Hounshell's book is a few hundred pages long, and I summarized it in a few paragraphs. The book is listed in the References section. It therefore seemed silly to go through and tag everything with a long list of ibids; I have now made Harvard-style references wherever appropriate in the article.
