The article doesn't say which one is the actual "American Merchant Stripes" (though I gather it's the bottom one in Image:Sons_of_Liberty_flags.png). AnonMoos 15:49, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

Flags of the World doesn't mention any flag called the "American Merchant Stripes", though it does mention Liberty Flags and discusses the debate over whether there is a connection between the Grand Union Flag and the East India Company flag. Is the intent of this page to describe some other flag than one (or more) of these better known examples? If so, this extraordinary claim needs documentation and, ideally, expert verification. If not, the title of the page seems unhelpful and obscure; it would be better called "Liberty Flag", or perhaps be merged into Grand Union Flag. --ScottMainwaring 08:04, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
