[edit] Issues with Description
"The clever Ama-no-Uzume overturned a tub near the cave entrance and began a wild, sexual dance on it, tearing off her clothing in front of the male deities. They considered this so comical that they laughed heartily at the sight.
Amaterasu heard them, and asked Ama-no-Uzume what was going on. The dawn goddess replied that the gods had found a better lover than her"
I wonder if this is not a bit too much personal embellishment upon the original tale? It seems to over-eroticise the matter, especially as I cannot find any reference to the last sentence, in which it is implied that Ameterasu was a lover to the gods, nor any evidence that Ame-no-Uzume made any such quip. -- Hidoshi 19:15, 28 September 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Alternate Names
Okame seems to be the name Uzume takes in some theatrical contexts; see [1] I have added this reference. --206.132.50.221 02:17, 31 December 2006 (UTC)
