This is a photo of Saskatoon or Juneberries. Juneberries include a number of similar species, the leaves are clearly the correct for the listed genus and species and it is not of blueberries. I have seen pictures of cultivated Juneberries and they do indeed look very similar to blueberries. I have seen Amelanchier in the wilds of Upper Michgan that are smaller and occasionally slightly elongated, these are often called sugar plums by people in Upper Michigan. It is more likely the Juneberries in this picture do not look as you would see them in say Upper Michigan, where the deer browsing pressure is high, the plants and berries are more variable, the leaves often smaller and there are likely more than one species or variety.
