Amery Smith

Amery "AWOL" Smith is a drummer from Los Angeles, California. AWOL has been a member of numerous bands such as Suicidal Tendencies, The Brood, AgainST, Uncle Slam, Beastie Boys and BS2000. Amery currently works for the band The Mars Volta as production manager and is also associated as the current drum tech for Queens of the Stone Age.
Amery played the drums on Suicidal Tendencies' debut album, and was one of the forming members of Uncle Slam and The Brood, two other Venice based crossover thrash bands.
Amery "AWOL" Smith forms BS 2000 together with Beastie Boys' Ad Rock.
In May 2006, he reunited with his old Suicidal Tendencies bandmates Louiche Mayorga and Grant Estes to create a band named AgainST with Excel vocalist Daniel Clements and former No Mercy singer Kevin "The Jerk" Guercio.
