The Americana Festival is held annually in Centerville, Ohio, a suburb of Dayton, Ohio. The festival always starts with the American Parade early in the morning. There are usually over 100 floats or groups in the parade each year. The Parade travels down one of the largest roads in Centeville, Franklin Street. Thousands of citizens line the sides of the street to watch this tradition pass through. Once the Parade is finished then the actual Festival is held on Main Street (OH St. Route 48) This festival generally has a lot of locals who make crafts and generally offer them for sale. Many other local institutions set up a booth and give out free stuff. Town Hall Theatre puts on a short play each year for free for the community. The Americana Festival's office is located inside Town Hall. Plenty of food can also be found at the festival. Once the festival come to an end, the night finishes with the annual fireworks show at the High School.
