American prices increased independent of the Bush governments US$0.01 petrol tax which brings in badly needed revenue for the deteriorating government each week. American petrol prices have long been held low by American ignorance and accesses to northern great lakes oil reserves, however with a fall in prosperity, and more ludicrous decisions by both the bush government and Americas people by electing Obama to lead the Democrat's in the coming election.
