[edit] Accreditation

International Accreditation:

In December 2007, AUD received accreditation as a separate unit (independent of the American InterContinental University) by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) to award Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees.[1][2] AUD is the first and only institution outside of the US and Latin America to be granted this honor by SACS.[2]

Previously, from its founding in 1995, and until December 2007, AUD was accredited by SACS as a branch campus of American InterContinental University (AIU), until it was lost due to poor academics.

The American University in Dubai, through its School of Business Administration, has the following degree programs accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE):

– Bachelor of Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting, e-Business, Finance, Management, Marketing and Marketing Communications;

– Master of Business Administration

Furthermore, the University's concentrations in Marketing Communications and Advertising (Creative) have been accredited by the International Advertising Association (IAA) in New York.

Local Accreditation The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of the United Arab Emirates has accredited the University's programs in Business Administration, Engineering, Information Technology, Interior Design, Communication / Information Studies and Visual Communication.
