American Speech

American Speech is an academic journal of the American Dialect Society published by the Duke University Press. The quarterly publication of linguistic usage was established in 1925.
The journal focuses on the English language as it is spoken in the Western Hemisphere. Other articles are included about such topics as English as it is spoken elsewhere, outside influences on the language and linguistic theory.[1]
