ASM currently runs the mixed age system in the elementary school (grades 1-5) and the normal system, which is an individual grade level in a class. The system for a child in the following year is chosen near the end of the year by the parents.

[edit] International Baccalaureate

ASM has been an IB World School June 1983. It offers the Primary Years Programme (PYP), the Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP) [1].

The MYP coordinator is Ms Elizabeth Beatty Khoury, and the Diploma coordinator is Ms Valeria Meroni [2].

[edit] Laptop Program

From Grades 6 and on, students are required to bring a laptop to school every day. Macintosh and Windows Vista is discouraged as of February 2008 as they do not work well with the school intranet. Students can either purchase a laptop from outside or from the school, in which case the selected brand is Dell [3]. Most students use Windows XP Professional.

A software package is also available for those who have a laptop purchased from outside. The package contains software that are necessery in the classes. Examples are, Adobe Photoshop and Macromedia Dreamweaver. Laptops purchased through the school are already installed with all the necessery programs.
