[edit] The spin-offs

The "American Pie Presents" films are direct-to-video spin-offs of the American Pie movies. The series are written by one of the writers of the original series, Adam Herz with Erik Lindsay co-writing The Naked Mile and Beta House and Brad Riddell co-writing Band Camp. With Erik Lindsay writing The Naked Mile and Beta House the cast of The Naked Mile reunites in the more recent Beta House. The films tend to involve members of the Stifler family, with Stifler-esque manners and philosophies, with the exception of The Naked Mile's Erik Stifler, who was introduced as a virgin. Eugene Levy has appeared in all films as Noah Levenstein, Jim's father, since the original series but under unique circumstances.
