American Legacy Every issue of American Legacy—the premier magazine of African-American history and culture—brings to light new stories of great men and women whose struggles, triumphs, and accomplishments compose our remarkable history and continue to empower us. American Legacy celebrates an exceptional group of pioneers and leaders, whose contributions have impacted not only the African–American community, but also society as a whole. It was founded in 1995 by Rodney J. Reynolds and is a joint venture with Forbes, Inc. [1]
