American Forces Information Service

The American Forces Information Service (AFIS) is a United States Department of Defense-provided news service that supplies information about the U.S. military. The American Forces Press Service, part of AFIS, provides news stories about military operations world-wide.

A subdivision of AFIS is Defense Visual Information Center.
