- This year was the first time the AFI's Top 10 Film List didn't mention either of the two Golden Globe Award winners for Best Drama or Comedy/Musical Picture. For Best Drama Picture, the Golden Globe winner was Atonement and for Best Musical or Comedy Picture the winner was Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
