[edit] Programs

[edit] Citizen summits

ADI organizes summits around the country to inspire and educate young people by bringing them together with others who share their worldview and providing workshops that engage them on issues and the ideas behind them. High-profile, national leaders from business, academia, nonprofits, government, politics and other fields inspire active citizenship. Local and national organizations provide opportunities for young people to get involved. Participants connect with others who share their passions, gain valuable knowledge about the issues, and learn about opportunities to participate in their democracy.

[edit] Social action seminars

ADI sponsors seminars for young people who want to get active and form relationships with others who share their passions and interests. Leaders of local progressive organizations and other ADI participants lead hands-on sessions in which participants work on practical skills to help them become effective activists and organizers. Seminars are offered in a wide variety of practical areas, including coalition-building, online organizing and strategic communications. Its seminars help hundreds of activists develop their skills and make meaningful social and professional connections with their peers.

[edit] National leadership program

ADI is developing a leadership development program for emerging leaders with strong skills and proven leadership potential. The program will help them assess and develop core competencies and provides mentors and coaches for ongoing learning. They create working relationships and form a national network of leaders who share ideas and support each other.
