The American Dairy Science Association (ADSA) is a non-profit professional organization for the advancement of dairy science. Founded in 1906 as the National Association of Dairy Instrutors, it assumed its current name of ADSA in 1916 after being called the Official Dairy Instructor's Association from 1908 to 1916. ADSA is headquartered in Savoy, Illinois, located near the Urbana-Champaign, Illinois area.

Consisting of 4500 members, ADSA is involved in research, education, nutrition, and processing of dairy-based products, including processing and foods manufacturing (milk, cheese, yogurt, and ice cream).

From 1927 to 1997, ADSA held its annual meetings on college campuses. Since 1998, they have been holding their annual meetings in convention centers jointly with the American Society of Animal Science (ASAS).

ADSA's scientific journal is the Journal of Dairy Science (JDS), established in 1917. Initially started out as a bimonthly publication, JDS went to a monthly publication beginning in 1934 where it remains ever since. JDS is among the top 5 most-cited scientific journals in the agriculture category.
