[edit] Issues
The American Council of Public Policy, once known as the American Foreign Relations Center, now focuses on both international and domestic issues. The council advocates specific public policy on issues in the areas of Foreign Policy, Healthcare, poverty, and Constitutional interpretation/protection. The council also puts up policy proposals from other think-tanks and notable policy makers.
For the 2008 election, the American Council of Public Policy launched "And The Candidate Says..." A site dedicated to helping you make the best decision for 2008 presidential election by only looking at real public policy proposals. All of which are published on the site, with equal space.
Some of the projects already announced include an ACPP Task-Force that is being put together called the ACPP Darfur Action Center; their goal is to raise public awareness and encourage governmental intervention in the region to stop the genocide. Every year, beginning in 2007, the ACPP will releases a report on government accountability, foreign policy, and constitutional obedience. The next report will be released in August of 2007.
