"American Bad Ass" is a single from Kid Rock's 2000 compilation album The History of Rock. It is the second track and one of the only entirely new tracks featured on the album, the other having been included on the Any Given Sunday soundtrack. "American Bad Ass" borrows the instrumental structure of Metallica's "Sad But True" throughout the entire song, and its lyrics reference Kid Rock's musical inspirations such as AC/DC and ZZ Top. It also has a music video which aired on MTV2 upon release, and the song was performed on Saturday Night Live.

"American Bad Ass" was later used in World Wrestling Entertainment as The Undertaker's entrance song; the character had recently adopted a biker gimmick and became nicknamed the "American Bad Ass."
