America's Forgotten War

The term America's Forgotten War refers to any of several wars:
- French and Indian War [1]
- Barbary Wars - largely passed out of popular memory within a generation.
- World War I - "birthed World War II, along with the great totalitarian delusions communism, fascism and Nazism. Yet the Great War, as it was first called, is largely forgotten in America." [2]
- Korean War - "Some call it the forgotten war, but for two years America fought a full fledged war to keep South Korea free." [3]
- The War of 1812 - War between U.S. and the U.K. from 1812-1814 fought over issues such as impressment and the violation of American neutral trade.
- The Philippine-American War - a conflict between the U.S. and the First Philippine Republic from 1899 through at least 1902.
