Amelanchier stolonifera, often referred to as the running serviceberry, is a species of serviceberry shrub that is cultivated for its edible berry-like pome fruits and as a decorative ornamental plant. It has cream-white flowers. Its fruits are black to dark-purple when young but become purple to pink-purple to light-pink or dark-purple in color when they ripen. The fruit can be eaten raw or cooked. It is native to eastern Canada.
