[edit] NHL rosters
Hey, just to give you a heads up... once rosters are finalized, we're going to be roll out a uniform roster table for teams in the NHL that can be previewed at Ottawa Senators. If you have any input go to Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Ice_Hockey/Team_pages_format. ccwaters 00:38, 1 October 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Cut and paste
Please don't move articles by cutting and pasting their contents. It causes a series of problems. The right way is to use the "Move this page" link on the left. Thanks, -Willmcw 07:54, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for your work. Please read over the guideline on article titles (Wikipedia:Naming conventions etc) and page moves (Wikipedia:Merging and moving pages) before making further changes. Cheers, -Willmcw 23:19, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
[edit] 2006 Winter Olympics medal count
I've reverted your changes to the article. Please note that the first table is ranked by medal type (the IOC, BBC, IAAF convention), the second is ranked by medal count (the North American convention). Thanks. --Madchester 18:16, 19 February 2006 (UTC)
[edit] LoPbN
I removed extra info you added, which is appropriate to his bio but not to this navigational page.

[edit] AfD nomination of Brian Collins
I've nominated Brian Collins, an article you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but in this particular case I do not feel that Brian Collins satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion; I have explained why in the nomination space (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and the Wikipedia deletion policy). Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Brian Collins and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of Brian Collins during the discussion but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion discussion. Thank you. Crystallina 14:21, 4 June 2006 (UTC) (note - in addition, the article had previously been deleted)
[edit] CFL players category
I noticed that you have been adding the CFL players category to a bunch of pages that are already in a subcategory (Argos players, Stampeders players, etc). Usually you don't need to do this (ie Wikipedia:Categorization#Some general guidelines). Do you feel that this is a case when it is a good idea to categorize them in this way? Qutezuce 04:20, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
- I think the reason the CFL players category has so many people is just a legacy, there probably weren't individual team categories at some point, just the CFL players category. So if it's all the same to you how about we try to just put players into their team categories. Qutezuce 05:10, 18 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Ian "Rocky" Butler
Hey, you'll need to re-do your WP:RM for Ian "Rocky" Butler. You missed steps 2 and 3 so it didn't show up in Category:Requested moves (which exists so people can see what to vote on) and people didn't have a place to easily add votes. I removed the entry from WP:RM. Let me know if you have any questions. —Wknight94 (talk) 04:13, 25 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] WikiProject Lacrosse
I have created a proposal for a new WikiProject about lacrosse, and I thought you might be interested in joining. Please check out the temporary project page at User:MrBoo/WikiProject Lacrosse and sign your name if you are interested.

[edit] Talk:Bow tie
Hi,
You may have an interest, since I saw your name in the history list of the Bow tie article: There's a separate article, List of bow tie wearers and an admin is suggesting deleting it. When I looked into the Bow tie page, I found there's already a list there. I don't have an opinion on which list should remain, but one really should go. I'd appreciate your advice on the Talk:Bow tie page, if you're interested and have the time.Noroton 00:57, 10 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Joe Smith
In addition to fixing the particular move you mentioned, I did an overall of the various Joe Smith articles. It turns out a number of articles mentioning a famous jazz musician were erroenously pointing to a basketball player. Thanks for mentioning the problem. [edit] Argos Vandalism
Sorry to have zapped your recent edit; it wasn't your's that I had to pull; someone under the name 165.124.163.117 went onto a few sites (Argos, Winnipeg Jets, and Raptors and altered stats... Bacl-presby 00:13, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Lindsay Robins Article
Thanks for adding the fan-site tag to the Lindsay Robins article. I had originally written the article, but got away from it - and over time, the article accumulated a lot of spam / PR, which you rightly tagged as a "fan site" article.
Seeing that tag, I went back to the article and reworked it into more of a regular Wikipedia style. The person responsible for the PR / press release style then came back and put it into fan site style. I then reverted those edits, and restored it to more regular Wikipedia style.
If the person responsible for the fan site style puts it back in that form, it would be very helpful if you would reinsert the "fan site" tag.
For my part, I'm a fan of Lindsay Robins, but I believe very strongly in maintaining the integrity and credibility of Wikipedia.
Thanks very much for any help on this!

[edit] Mike Pearson and Lester B Pearson
When recent Argos signee Mike Pearson wins the Nobel Peace Prize, and becomes Prime Minister of Canada, and gets daily wiki vandalism, perhaps then you can disambiguate LBP for this guy.....maybe the other way around for now!! (or if the Argos win the Grey Cup this year!) Bacl-presby 17:31, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
I've copied the just above to the Lester Pearson talk-page, and suggest that it be discussed there, rather than here. I hope that you approve of my moving this section to the bottom of your talk-page. If not, please forgive my meddling in that. -- Lonewolf BC 20:35, 14 June 2007 (UTC)

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Image:Kevin Eiben in 2005.JPG, by Sparrowman980 (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Image:Kevin Eiben in 2005.JPG is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only" or "used with permission for use on Wikipedia only" which was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19 or is not used in any articles (CSD I3).

- I do not see any reason for the photo I created and uploaded to be nominated for speedy deletion. I clearly stated that I took the photograph myself @ an Argos home game in 2005, and that I hearby release it to the public domain. Amchow78 05:14, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Cheyenne (TV series) --> Cheyenne (western)
I don't understand this move. Of all the television programmes named Cheyenne, there's no doubt but that 1955 version is the "definitive" one. If only one page could get the name "Cheyenne (TV series)", it'd have to be the ABC show, not the MTV one. Despite its currency, the MTV program ran for only 8 episodes on a cable network. For most of that time, it ran under the name Cheyenne: The After Show. This is also the name for the episodes, as hosted on the MTV website. It has reached a larger audience under that name than the simpler Cheyenne.
But all that, I suppose, doesn't matter so much as the fact that there is no real need, nor movement, to divorce information about the 2006 show from the article about Cheyenne Kimball herself. The Cheyenne (disambiguation) page points to the person and doesn't even suggest the 2006 series, at present. To me the way to keep the two distinguished is to keep things as they are right now. The 1955 series is chiefly notable as a TV series; the 2006 series is mostly notable for its relation to Kimball personally.
The other point to make is the number of links Cheyenne (TV series) already has. If this is a preparatory move to eventually making the page Cheyenne (TV series) a disambig page of its own, I must warn you away from that. You will reduce the utility of a lot of articles for no good reason if you do that. If you don't plan to put in a disambig page at Cheyenne (TV series) then what's the point of the move? CzechOut 03:24, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
A tag has been placed on Katy Vick, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a redirect to a nonexistent page. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}}
to the page and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Jtalledo (talk) 12:41, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Reggie McNeal
Hi there, Amchow78. I noticed you added this statement to the Reggie McNeal article. An IP user later removed that statement, which was not true. McNeal is still on the practice roster of the Argonauts, as seen here. I am not sure if it was a mistake or you heard this information from somewhere, but next time, please add legitimate sources when adding such information to articles. Doing so accords with WP:V, one of the policies on Wikipedia. Adding false information, mistakenly or not, can not only be misleading to readers but it may even lower Wikipedia's reputation. Thank you. BlueAg09 (Talk) 23:53, 29 October 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, now I'm confused. He's not listed on the depth chart, but why isn't he listed as being released on the team's transactions' page here? BlueAg09 (Talk) 03:35, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Hello again. I just read this article about Damon Allen. The article includes that McNeal may be a future starter. What's up with that? BlueAg09 (Talk) 21:37, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] AfD nomination of Diane Salema
An article that you have been involved in editing, Diane Salema, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Diane Salema. Thank you. --BJBot (talk) 20:53, 24 December 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Your recent edit to Ron Paul
You inserted "M.D." just below the part of the page where the note to editors says, "Before editing this lead section, please review WP:MOSBIO and WP:LEAD, and search the Talk page for recent discussion. Consider whether your specific material might be better added to the Political Positions or Campaign sections, or the full separate articles they summarize. Per naming conventions, please do not add details like "Dr.", "Rep.", "Capt.", "M.D.", "Sr.", etc., to Paul's name." I have reverted your insertion. --Orange Mike | Talk 16:35, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
[edit] February 2008
Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Mike Stock (football coach). For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. [edit] Andre Talbot
Was this done in error or what is your reasoning? I have restored it. DoubleBlue (Talk) 17:16, 7 March 2008 (UTC)
- Persondata is meant to be invisible to users unless they add to their stylesheet the option to see it. I'd like to see his professional career section expanded but don't feel like doing it at the moment. I probably will do at some point. He's one of my faves! Cheers! [edit] AfD nomination of Dude
An editor has nominated Dude, an article on which you have worked or that you created, for deletion. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dude and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 01:01, 10 March 2008 (UTC)

How do you know he will wear #10? Source? It's not that I'm calling you a liar, I'd like to know to relay it to the forum I belong to. Lucky Strike (talk) 20:50, 11 April 2008 (UTC)Lckystrke
[edit] Jesse and Gene
A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Jesse and Gene, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Rtphokie (talk) 18:03, 27 April 2008 (UTC)
[edit] P. J. Brown
This article was re-directed only 5 days ago. And his name is "P.J.", not "P. J.". ● 8~Hype @ 16:02, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Hi, I'd just like to add that I moved it to P.J. Brown because WP:NCP changed. Since December, #Middle names and abbreviated names has said, "Generally, use the most common format of a name", and it no longer mentions spaces after punctuation. Brown's initials are most commonly written without the space. —LOL (talk) 20:12, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
