[edit] song
I wish to inform you that the se songs are downloadable from the creators website and that all i intend to do is to give out this link. This content has been posted by the author himself , and therefore (or at least i certianly hope) It has not been pirated. as i have not posted, or offered to exchange actuial files my actions are not to be considered piracy. although i do thank you for showing concern about pirated items, whis is youre duty as an admin. here is the link that i intend to post [1]
looking back at my post i do realize that is easily interpreted in the way that you have, and i will be more carefull in the future to state things like this in a more complete form. i didnt want to post the link on the page because it wasnt relavant to the actuial article.
hope this clears it up, thanks, !paradigm! 01:36, 17 August 2006 (UTC)!paradigm!

[edit] AC/DC edit war and supposed sockpuppets
I don't think that a person going around using a wireless hookup to make edits, is impossible. It certainly is feasible for all I know. People do seem to spend enough time editing Wikipedia and getting to know all that they can about how to edit Wiki pages, don't they? There are people who do things that seek to exploit loopholes all the time. Also, people obsessed about something and with a point to proove often do anything and everthing they can to make sure that they come out on top. Different people from the same geographically small area consistently making the same persistent changes, to the same article, would seem to be in league with each other, or simply the same person.Does this proove the Wireless hookup allegation conclusively? No. However, do I think it is probable? Considering how resolute people choose to be when sticking to a point, the answer would be, yes. Is it possible? Very much so.
As far as the suspicions of me being a supposed sockpuppet of NCC17's are concerned, you could have easily checked the dates of my contributions, the first of which are more than a full 6 months older than the first of NCC17's. The Archer 22:02, 17 August 2006 (UTC)
I did not intend to take forward the discussion on whether fair deal was using sockpuppets anyway, as it is evident that this is a matter which is speculative and which can be viewed only subjectively. My answer was to your question as to whether it was farfetched or not and I believe that I have answered that.I didn't really think that you would propose to discuss it further, either.I do hope however, that you or any other admin.involved, will consider all options and possibilities, the next time allegations like this fly around.Regards,The Archer 17:10, 18 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Hi
Hi I am looking to ask an admin a question so I looked in recent changed and found the first admin action and it was you. So I am asking you. Do you know where the place is to ask for the content of a deleted article for your own records or to put on another wiki? Playingviolin1 08:22, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Could you send me the contents of Wikipedia Review? And if it has a lot of content added in and then beng taken out over time, maybe a few versions, or just what looks like an accurate version? I'm doing some research on it to put offsite. Playingviolin1 08:30, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Do these normally want to be emailed? I don't have an email address on my account. I can put one if necessary. Playingviolin1 08:37, 19 August 2006 (UTC)
Thanks. Wow, I thought it would have something about the history of the board. It also was never even run by the person that the deleted text claimed. Thank you for helping. Playingviolin1 08:42, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] WP:WING
Why do you consider the trademark sign unnecessary? Google™'s own homepage has it? Also, you left an enormous amount of double redirects. I am moving the page back, please discuss the issue on the essay's talk page. Thanks. -- Avi 18:16, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
- Even so, formatting and capitalization refers to things like e-Bay or iPod starting with lowercase letters, or one of the letters being bolded ot backwards like “Toys ‘Я’ us”, not the use of the trademark symbol, I believe. Thanks. -- Avi 20:40, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] AC/DC Links
I put in your suggestion for AC/DC's external links and within two minutes Fair Deal had changed them back. I also posted a notice about the change on the AC/DC talk page at the same time. Of course Fair Deal didn't bother to sign in again when he made the change. Rather, he used the IP address (198.164.251.83) which, of course, can be traced to Fredricton, NB, CA as have 99% of all the other nameless changes he has made. If you don't think that's a form of sockpuppetry, I'd like to know what it is called because it's definitely an attempt to conceal his identity.
I used http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation to get his location, btw. NCC17 15:30, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Need Admin help
I know you don't want to be dragged into this anymore than you have been already. I am User:Fair Deal. I didn't bother to log in just so I could have my IP show up in this post. My Wikipedia contributions have been sporadic lately due to work requirements along the Washington/Oregon coast. Since my return to Victoria, BC, I have been reviewing whats been happening in my absence and it leaves me quite distressed. The sockpuppet allegations and persistent personal attacks against me by User:NCC17 have not let up since I un-watched his particular "page of ownership" a month ago. I notice these constant attacks both in edit summaries and in talk pages as well. I was wondering if there is an proper outlet for me to request help?(aside from nagging you about it). Admin Circeus gave the user the link for a RCU. I was really hoping he would go ahead and follow up on that during my absence just so air would be cleared. But no request was made and the attacks never stopped. A simple study of a map of Canada would've really helped. My own user page says where I live. But, apparently, I am able to travel 5000 kms to edit pages and then return back to the west coast at the snap of my fingers. Is there something I can do or do I just AGF and move on while my name keeps being mud-drug over n over again? Your help/advice would really be appreciated. Thank you 142.179.103.183 19:37, 24 August 2006 (UTC) Fair Deal

I'm going to do a rollback- the vandal did multiple edits with multiple entries. Look at the log. Just wanted to give you a heads-up. If there's any problems, drop me a line. Have a good weekend. Rsm99833 20:39, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
- Attempted to edit Mercury (which appears to still be showing the vandal edits). For some reason my edit on that page is not taking. Could you give it a shot?Rsm99833 20:49, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Re: sonata arctica uk
I am not affiliated with the site i added, nor can i imagine any benefit i would gain from adding it to Wikipedia. While i understand that Wikipedia is not a 'mere collection of external links', i can't see why adding the appropriate site to an existing list of sites is in any way harmful. I won't edit the page back until you reply. Thank you.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Thedreamdied (talk • contribs) 14:50, 27 August 2006
- Hmm. Point taken. Although im sure it was more than a forum last time i looked. Mes apologies. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Thedreamdied (talk • contribs) 19:58, 27 August 2006
[edit] Hello?
I wanted to make a suggestion. On Wikipedia and Wiktionary, I have two similar but different profiles. If I change one, I have to change the other, too. I'm a bit baffled. Can you explain what to do, or if anything can even be done? Galactiger 01:05, 29 August 2006 (UTC)
- Please check again. I think it needs to be fixed, that it doesn't already do this.

[edit] Another personal attack by User:NCC17
Sorry to be a nag but you told me to let you know if User:NCC17 issued another PA against me....which he did. As before I am posting unlogged just so I can confirm my location(for future reference). Today's attack follows in line with the previous ones...where the user believes I travel 5000 kms just to edit war with him. Here's a quick link for you AC/DC talk page link. This time he is followed by another user who also seems to want to point fingers without just cause. In this case though the user (User:HK51) is probably just sheeping in behind the leader. HK51's user page says he is only 16 years old. I am willing to AGF that there is no sock/meat puppetry going on. He probably just needs to be informed about WP:NPA and WP:CIVIL just so he will be careful in the future. I really appreciate your help on this. My hope was that the user would have gone ahead with the RCU back when Admin Circeus gave him the link for it. Now it's just getting annoying. My Wikipedia contributions have all been valid up to now. I was considering applying for VandalProof access once I had some more time and a few more vandal rv's/warnings under my belt. The last thing I need is someone trolling along behind me and attacking even when the evidence is in my favour. Thanks for your time on this. Good Day! 142.179.103.183 01:48, 29 August 2006 (UTC) Fair Deal
-
- Again, just so we're clear, I had gotten a bit annoyed that the links had been edited again. I am by no means "sheeping" behind the leader. As a matter of fact all you have to do is look at my previous posts in the AC/DC talk page where I show clearly that I disagree with some of NCC17's points on the AC/DC links. I was, however, quick to point the finger at Fair Deal due to the fact that the unregistered user's IP could be traced to the region Fair Deal lives (or where NCC17 says he lives). For that I apologise.
-
- I just got a tad annoyed due to the fact the aticle is currently a GA nominee and another edit war could prevent it from earning GA status. HK51 17:18, 29 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] AC/DC Page
Hi, Is there anything you can do about the anonymous user from Canada 156.34.142.110 who is removing agreed upon links from the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AC/DC AC/DC page. We went through this before and everybody seemed quite content w/the resolution until the last few days. Thanks for uploading Image:Roy-H-Wagner.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first fair use criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed image could reasonably be found or created. If you believe this image is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the image description page and edit it to add {{Replaceable fair use disputed}}
- On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace the fair use image by finding a freely licensed image of its subject or by taking a picture of it yourself.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our fair use criteria. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on this link.
