This is my first stab at a description of the game. I was a little unsure about what to name it. Since the official name of the game is Ambush!, I was tempted to name it that, but I am unsure about whether or not this would conflict with Wikipedia's style rules. If it doesn't conflict, we might want to consider moving it. One other thing I am unsure about is italicising the referenced game. I know the first reference is supposed to be bold (i.e. Ambush!), but what about subsequent references to it? Is it supposed to be Ambush!, Ambush! or Ambush!? TIA -Frecklefoot

[edit] Extra Ambush Modules not mentioned

Two modules not mentioned are Battle Hymn and Leather Neck. Battle Hymn is a stand-alone version of Ambush and covers the Pacific during World War 2. The layout and many of the rules are identical and it is basically a module for Ambush built to stand on its own. Instead of a US Army squad you play with a USMC squad against the Japanese. Leather Neck is a module for Battle Hymn.

The main game and its modules are often available on ebay along with brand new modules being released one mission at a time.

Battle Hymn is a stand alone game, as you mention, and therefore not a module....:-) Michael Dorosh 03:46, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Disbanded in 1988?

I believe Ambush! were printed after 1988 as well. One of my copies of the game have parts that are marked "(C) 1983/1991 Victory Games, division of the Avalon Hill Game Co.".

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Ambushboxtop.jpg

Image:Ambushboxtop.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
