Ambra Vallo

Ambra Vallo (Italy) is a classical dancer. Born in Naples, Italy, she is actually a Principal Dancer with the Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Seventeen she has been invited like guest from the Teatro dell'Opera di Roma to inaugurate the season of ballet. Already Soloist of the “Royal Opera of Wallonie” and after of the “Royal Ballet of Flanders”, has been Senior soloist of the English National Ballet from 1993. From the 2001 she is the most famous “Principal” of the Birmingham Royal Ballet. Indicated between the one thousand most famous personages of United Kingdom according to the “Debrett's people of today”.

She gained critical acclaim worldwide with numerous prizes and international competitions (First prize, "Luxemburg International Grand Prix"; Silver medal, Houlgate, France; in Italy, "Danza e danza" (Best dancer, 2004), Positano (Prize of the critic, 1991 and 2002), "Rieti (Gold Medal).

Her created roles included: Bintley's Titania (The Shakespeare Suite), 'Annunciation' (The Protecting Veil), Wild Girl (Beauty and the Beast), Kim Brandstrup's Pimpinella (Pulcinella), Lila York's Sanctum, Stanton Welch's Powder and Luciano Cannito's Te voglio bene assaje.
