Amblyopone is a genus of ponerine ants.

Workers of Amblyopone have a well developed sting, elongate mandibles and reduced or absent eyes. They are similar to Onychomyrmex.

These basal ants are specialized predators of several kinds of arthropods, especially centipedes.
