Amatino Manucci

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Often considered the inventor of double-entry bookkeeping, Amatino Manucci was a partner in Giovanni Farolfi & Company, a merchant partnership in 14th century Florence. The financial records that he kept for the firm are the oldest extant examples of the double-entry system^{[citation needed]}.
