Alysia Reiner (born July 21, 1976) is an American actress.
Off-Broadway Alysia recently joined Tim Crouch in the Obie winning AN OAK TREE at The Barrow Street, JAYSON WITH A Y with The New Group, ANAIS NIN:One of her Lives & WASPS IN BED - both at The Beckett. All this work led to the nickname “Off Broadway favorite” from Theatremania and the quote “Alysia Reiner is Priceless” from the NY TIMES. Before that, she was part of the 2005 Drama desk nominated New York premiere of PENTECOST, by Tony-winning playwright David Edgar.
Alysia’s recent film roles include ARRANGED, leads in SCHOOLED & The NARROW GATE (which won best female fimmaker San Diego Film festival), and she won a Screen Actors Guild Award (Outstanding Performance Ensemble Cast) playing Christine in the Oscar-winning film Sideways. ARRANGED, SCHOOLED & CYCLE UNKNOWN (her last collaboration with Jessica Daniels) are currently making the festival circuit.
TV guest roles include: The Sopranos, Love Monkey, The Jury, Law & Order, Law & Order:SVU, Law & Order:CI, The Drew Carey Show, The Practice, Family Law, Jack & Jill, and series lead in the pilot of An Englishman In New York for Columbia TriStar.
She is married to actor David Alan Basche.[1]
