Alyce Faye Eichelberger Cleese (born Alyce Faye McBride), is an American psychotherapist.
Eichelberger Cleese is a secondary education graduate of Oklahoma State University (1966) and a former queen of Willard Hall. She was recently inducted into the Oklahoma State University College of Education Hall of Fame. She is the author of How to Manage Your Mother: Understanding the Most Difficult, Complicated, and Fascinating Relationship in Your Life. She studied at the Tavistock Clinic in London with Anna Freud. She received her masters degrees in educational psychology and in vocational and educational counseling from Baylor University. Her advanced degree, the Diploma in the Maladjusted Child,[1] came from the University of London Institute of Education. Eichelberger Cleese was recently honored by Harvard University for her work in psychotherapy.
Eichelberger married actor John Cleese in 1992, but it was reported in January 2008 that they had separated.[2] John Cleese has been ordered to pay his ex-wife $75,000 a month in maintenance in a temporary arrangement until their divorce settlement is complete.[3]
