Alvin Brooks

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Alvin Brooks is a former head coach of the University of Houston's men's basketball team. He coached the Houston Cougars from 1993 to 1998. He also served as an assistant coach for the Texas Tech Red Raiders basketball team and was at Texas A&M[1] through the '06-'07 season.

On July 23, 2007, a Lexington, KY media outlet reported that Brooks had been hired as an assistant coach by Billy Gillispie at the University of Kentucky. This has not yet been confirmed by the university or Gillispie; however, Brooks' name has been circulating for months as a possible assistant at UK.
