Talk:Althena

[edit] Why I made an entry on Althena
I was surprised by the lack of a proper entry anywhere on the Internet for Althena, goddess of the world of Lunar. I have finally managed to start a page describing Althena in some detail - a beginning. Please feel free to add on or improve the information displayed as you see fit. Also, the discussion section here could help you send opinions I may have never considered before. Thank you! --Chameleon.
- I believe this article should also mention the lack of logic of Althena's decision: she stepped down from godhood so people would learn to depend on themselves, but did not reveal this fact to the Lunarians. They therefore continued worshipping her, and this later allowed an impostor working for Zophar to manipulate her worshippers (as seen in Lunar: Eternal Blue). - I agree, but I believe that a possible reason why Luna did not say that she was Althena was because she wanted to live out her life as a true human being. I mean, could you imagine what would happen if everyone knew that Luna was the LAST true incarnation of their Goddess? Maybe she didn't want that kind of attention. It's true that the lack of knowledge of Althena's decision caused humanity to continue worshipping Althena as usual, but I believe Althena wanted the people to eventually learn how to stand on their own two feet. Besides, if everyone suddenly discovered that they were on their own without Althena, they would be terribly scared. Such a big change in the world should be done gradually over time, so people could accept and understand the new world. --Chameleon.

- Maybe, but the one reson why Luna never said that she was the goddess was that ahe never knew, otherwise she would never have had nightmares everynight. --Otemple700
