[edit] Availability
- NES (and other systems) availability?!:
The game's listed here as having been available for NES and TG16; from what I understand, these only saw release in Japan for the Famicom and PC Engine respectively. Can anyone confirm a US release on these platforms before I change the entry? Student Driver 17:47, 4 July 2006 (UTC)

- Why would you change it? The infobox isn't just for US releases. It it were available in Japn, it should be in the infobox. Ace of Sevens 18:02, 4 July 2006 (UTC)
- I'm not disputing listing foreign editions, but am disputing the use of American/European names for systems that have different names in Japan. They have different cartridge formats/pin-outs, different names, etc. That's why I'm trying to confirm a US release-- if it wasn't released here, then the Japanese systems should be listed instead.Student Driver 04:58, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

How are these nto fair use? There are illustrating an article about the subject of the pictures. The differences in the various ports are a topic of this article, so showcasing them seems fair. Ace of Sevens 10:40, 27 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] new altered beast

[edit] 獣王記
[獣王記 Jūōki, literally "Beast King's Chronicle"] should be "Tale of Beast King". —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 60.209.181.211 (talk • contribs) .
[edit] Is Neff a "real" Greek God?
Is Neff a god the ancient Greeks actually had, or is he just a god made up for this game? I've never read about him in any Greek mythology book, nor heard of him anywhere outside of Altered Beast. And, besides Athena was never a child like she was in this game, she was born from Zeus's head fully grown and armored, and she was the goddess of battle, she would have kicked Neff's ass inside-out if he tried to capture her. ~I have no idea but maybe it has something to do with all those crosses Neff is surrounded by? Maybe they were hinting at something there? 207.172.52.41 07:20, 29 May 2007 (UTC)
[edit] A reference to The Scream
In stage 5 among the skeletons there is a reference to The Scream: Screenshot —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 82.148.97.69 (talk) 17:49, 19 December 2006 (UTC).
[edit] Soundtracks
Who is the loudspeaker who says "POWER UP" and "Rise from your grave"? What's the name of this loudspeaker? Morris Munroe 16:30, 9 February 2007 (UTC)
- A loudspeaker is an inanimate object, not a person. I don't know the actor who is doing the voice-over, but I assumed the character speaking was supposed to be Zeus. --64.149.39.28 04:04, 25 May 2007 (UTC)
- I always thought he said "Wise from your gray."... Vaughnstull (talk) 23:20, 18 March 2008 (UTC)
[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Altered beast.jpg
Image:Altered beast.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
