Altamira was the biggest municipality (not the biggest city!) in the world in land area. It encompassed almost half the area of the state of Pará, but the actual town was much smaller. I remember reading a news article about it in Veja once, but I can't get the reference to it. I've corrected the information, but I kept the "verify" notice someone gets the figures right. Is this page too short in content to add photos? I recently made a trip to Altamira and would be interested in adding one or two. NatePhysics (talk) 05:17, 30 November 2007 (UTC)

I don't know what the policies are or how it works, but I understand that some articles have a "gallery" section where a few pictures are displayed in reduced size. Maybe you could try it like that? In any case, if you want to share pictures that would be excellent, even if you only ever upload them to the project and don't immediately put them in any articles.
