Alto Mira (Portuguese for "Mira height", Capeverdean Crioulo, (written in ALUPEC): Ólt’ Mira) is a village and a valley in the northwest of Santo Antão. It is located northwest of the island capital of Porto Novo, the village is linked with a paved road linking Ribeira da Cruz and Porto Novo, rural roads link the area.

The village is situated in a valley of the same name, the valley strecthes from Ribeira da Praça up north to the Atlantic, it runs almost from south to north but a little westward. It contains several streams including the major Ribeira da Graça?. Some mountains are near the river especially the villages. Steep cliffs are to the south.

The mountains dominate the western, the southern and the eastern parts. Forests and groves dominate the village areas, dry grasslands with barren rocks and bushes covers the rest of the area as well as cattle areas.

The village is in the island's low class. Every house are built with mud-brick and stone. All of its population are farmers and are based in agriculture where banana plantations, pineapple and other crops are common. The farms are in the form of paddies and stone walls. However, a part of the needy materials comes from the island capital, the island capital and the diaspora. But for other needs, electricity, communications and appliances are partially available in the area as well as phone lines since the late-20th century. A part of the necessities also comes from the island capital.
