Alterosa

Alterosa is a Brazilian city in the municipality of Areado, state of Minas Gerais. As of the 2001 census its population is estimated to be 12,976. This is a most rural city, with just 8,989 people living in town. The inhabitants of the city usually travel to the nearest city, Areado, when they are in need of more sophisticated supplies.
Alterosa was founded on 17 December 1938.
