Alter Ego is a 2007 film directed by Village Roadshow Films.It premiered on May 10, 2007in Greek theatres, and is famous for being the debut film of Greek superstar Sakis Rouvas. The film was one of the most successful films of all-time in Greece, and at a budget of £2.000.000, it is recognized as being the most expensive Greek production in history. This film also made history by staging the largest filmed concert ever in Greece, with an audience of over 7,000, filmed at Lycabettus Theatre, in Athens. The film's soundtrack, also included 5 songs by Sakis Rouvas, and acheived huge success, and a gold certification.

Stefanos (Sakis Rouvas) is the frontman, guitarist, and soul of the incredibly popular rock band Alter Ego. In recent years, the band has had groundbreaking success, and their potential surpasses those of international standards. However, a twist of fate changes their path on their journey to fortune and fame, and the group is ultimately rocked by a heartbreaking tragedy, especially Stefanos who needs to find the will and determination to move on.

After many successful months at the box office, the film was released on DVD in December, 2007, in Greece. The DVD contains both English subtitles, and Greek, for the hearing-impaired. It also includes many behind the scenes features of Sakis Rouvas and the rest of the cast.
