Altenglan is a municipality in the district of Kusel, in Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It is situated on the river Glan, approx. 5 km north-east of Kusel, and 25 km north-west of Kaiserslautern.
The town of Altenglan today emerged from the freely union of the former independent communes Altenglan, Patersbach and Mühlbach in 1969. The three urban districts (Ortsteile) of Altenglan are Altenglan, Patersbach and Mühlbach. The name Altenglan stems from the little river Glan. In Altenglan the brook Kuselbach flows into the river Glan.
