As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 178 people, 58 households, and 44 families residing in the town. The population density was 1,103.4 people per square mile (429.5/km²). There were 98 housing units at an average density of 607.5/sq mi (236.5/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 96.07% White, 2.81% Native American, and 1.12% from two or more races.
There were 58 households out of which 46.6% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 63.8% were married couples living together, 8.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 24.1% were non-families. 22.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 15.5% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 3.07 and the average family size was 3.64.
In the town the population was spread out with 38.8% under the age of 18, 9.6% from 18 to 24, 20.2% from 25 to 44, 20.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.7% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 26 years. For every 100 females there were 85.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 81.7 males.
The median income for a household in the town was $28,750, and the median income for a family was $29,250. Males had a median income of $32,750 versus $20,833 for females. The per capita income for the town was $10,814. About 11.1% of families and 12.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 18.8% of those under the age of eighteen and 17.4% of those sixty five or over.
