Established in 1963, Alta Loma High School is a comprehensive public secondary school located in Rancho Cucamonga, California. As a member of the Chaffey Joint Union High School District, the school employs roughly 150 staff members that serve 3000 students.

The Wrestling team is most noted for its 25 league titles^{[citation needed]}
5 California Interscholastic Federation championships (Two each for football and wrestling and one for Girl's Cross Country)^{[citation needed]}

The extensive choir program has won many national awards and produces many professional singers.

With funding received from state bonds, expansion work was done between 1998-2001, adding on a new Math and Science building, a new dance studio, weight rooms and a new library, along with renovation work on various sites around the campus. The school's football team plays its home games at Chaffey College's Grisgby Field, where graduation ceremonies are also held.

Kenyon Coleman (Graduated 1997): Defensive and Offensive lineman; won two CIF championships. Played for UCLA 1997-2001 and for the NFL Oakland Raiders, 2002-2003, Dallas Cowboys, 2003-present).
Carlos Bocanegra (Graduated 1997): Professional soccer player. Currently plays fullback for Fulham F.C. of the English Premiership and the U.S. national team.
Eric Weddle (Graduated 2003) Drafted in second round of the 2007 NFL Draft by the San Diego Chargers as a Defensive back out of the University of Utah.
