alt.space

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The term alt.space refers to a community of relatively new aerospace companies working to develop low cost access to space or spaceflight technologies, and low cost spaceflight technical and policy advocates. Some people are instead using the term New Space.

The Ansari X-Prize won by Burt Rutan's Spaceship One vehicle is considered by many[who?] to be an alt.space category event.
