Alsager railway station serves the town of Alsager in Cheshire. It was opened by the North Staffordshire Railway company October 9, 1848. It is situated next to a level crossing approximately 600 yards from the town centre. The station is 10 km (6½ miles) east of Crewe on the Crewe to Derby Line.
The line through Alsager was electrified in 2003 so that it could be used as a diversionary route between Kidsgrove and Crewe during the West Coast Main Line improvement work.
As of the December 2008 timetable change, and pending completion of West Coast Main Line upgrade work at Rugby, Alsager will be additionally served by an hourly semi-fast service between Crewe and London Euston, via Stoke and Stafford. This service will be provided by London Midland
[edit] Service
There is a daily hourly service westbound to Crewe and eastbound to Derby. (Sundays hourly from 1400.)
