He flew his model aircraft in Tulieries Gardens in Paris, France on August 18,1871.The model flew 181 ft.in 11 seconds.

That is very nice to add a picture. I saw things like that at the Smithsonian air and space museum. One of my books has a drawing of his future fantasy airplane, but I don't know about the copy right. David R. Ingham 05:14, 23 March 2006 (UTC)
