Alpheton is a village and civil parish in the Babergh district of Suffolk, England. It is on the A134 road about six miles north of Sudbury. According to Eilert Ekwall the meaning of the village name is the homestead of Aelfled.The parish has a population of 242 according to the 2001 census.
