Alpharetta High School is a public high school located in Alpharetta, Georgia, and is part of the Fulton County School System.

Alpharetta High School offers a wide aray of sports. Competitive sports consist of baseball, basketball cross-country, football, golf, lacrosse, soccer, swim, tennis, track and field, volleyball, and wrestling. Although not officially recognized by Georgia High School Association, various atheleltic activies including rugby, fencing, ice hockey, and ping pong are some of the best sports team Alpharetta High School has. Among the varsity teams, boys' lacrosse, girls' track and field, and baseball have reaped successful results in state-wide competitions.

Alpharetta High is part of a cluster of school that interact closely and educate students from grades K-12.

The school's 74-acre campus is located on a small hill that provides spectacular views.[1] There are four major buildings in total:

  • Main building: Consisted of three wings, this facility houses major academic departments as well as Talented and Gifted Program (TAG) and Speial Education departments. Library and cafeteria are located in the lower level. The nothern end of this floor leads to an underground tunnel that connects the main building to the gym.
  • Gym: Includes two full basketball courts and weight training rooms, and a climbing wall. In the upper floor of the gym, there are one indoor track and two classrooms mainly for Health and Personal Fitness classes. Recently, Alpharetta High School hosted one of the largest grappling tournaments sponsored by North American Grappling Association.
  • Performing and Fine Arts Building: Performing arts classes including orchestra, band, and chorus take places in this building, and fine arts classes such as Drawing and Painting, AP Studio Art, and Photography, are located adjacent to the music room. The majority of spaces is occupied by the auditorium. Alpharetta High School hosted variety of events such as Barage tour and Jenna Hager's book promotion.

Alpharetta offers a wide range of club organizations. The honors societies include NHS, SNHS, NLHS, NAHS, and more, and the members of clubs engage in volunteer services througout the year. The other academic clubs in Alpharetta are Math Team, Academic Bowl, and Science Olympiad. Among all the club activities, Speech and Debate Team is especially known for its excellence.

[edit] All About Business (AAB)

All About Business is Alpharetta's dance team mostly consisted of African American students. AAB's performance is considered the best program in a pep rally due to its exciting and creative choreography that actually attract students' attention. Despite its limited demographic profile, the team leads a wide ethnic range of fans from Indians to whites.

Started by a handful of students from Alpharetta High School in Fall of 2007, this amateur hardcore rock band actively makes appearances in small local venues.

Recipient of the 2007-2008 Governors Cup for a AAAAA school with the highest increase in SAT scores

Its Academic Team won the 2007-2008 Annual High Q competition, which is hosted by Chuck Dowdle and airs on WSB-TV. They were originally alternates for the competition, but the team made its way to the finals and defeated many time champion Walton High School by a score of 495-295.
